If you have been on Monhegan, you probably have been on the fantastic fairy trail. Its trail is lined with fairy huts of miniature construction made from natural martials found on the trail. I found this trail magical and a bit mysterious looking because the trees are so tall making the trail less light. This mysterious feeling is what I was going for in this painting.

Cathedral Woods is a trail which has these fairy houses. Be sure to take a walk there!
