There are many emotional meanings for these paintings., They hold the hope and scare of living on the edge, during a pandemic .The stormy waters, along with the dark and bright contrasting colors are meant to bring a how momentous these times are.

This series is painted for women who sailed on tail ships in the 17 and 18th century. I have been enamored with their bravery and unending knowledge and courage. This series is dedicated to them. The most heroic story is the one of the wife of a captain, who would strap herself and her child to the bottom of the ships masts, so they would not blow over into the sea.
