60x40 acrylic (two canvases)

In the distance are the far mountains, the wild flowers and lupins are blooming. Here are miles of flowers in a field, to walk in such an area is thrilling. The fresh spring air is like candy.

There are bits of gold leaf which represents the sunshine hitting the grass and flowers. The Lupins took me many years to figure out how to paint. I finally got the fresh colorful feel of them here.

My background as a Textile designer really was part of this piece. The placement of flowers and the flow of stems and greenery are important in moving the energy of this painting. This a narrative painting of flowers speaking to each other!
